Positive: Located near some good restaurants. Shower room was nicely fitted out with good water pressure. Host was very communicative.
Negative: Whilst the general location was good, the apartment door is right next to a tobacco shop which meant there were constantly undesirable people hanging outside the door which made us feel uneasy. The fit out looked good from afar but is poorly executed and not clean. Facilities are not as described with aircon not fully functioning, no clothes drying racks. There was also no lighting in the stairwell so we had to climb the stairs using our phone torch to light the way. Toilet had a constant horrible smell. Kitchen fit out was not fit for purpose with dishwasher door not able to open due to the oven door.
Summary: Overall a disappointing stay.

Positive: Terrific location and once the key was picked up it was all pretty easy. The key pickup process was slightly confusing however that might be more of a "user error" than anything else. Nice, clean, smallish apartment that comfortably suited a family of 4 for two nights. The building has an elevator albeit a very small one, large enough for one person and one bag only at a time but that's a lot better than lugging suitcases up stairs.
Negative: The property is advertised as being "airconditioned", which is slightly deceptive as it implies that the entire apartment is airconditioned. This is not the case. It has an air conditioner in the living area however this was broken at the time of our stay. To their absolute credit the owners provided a portable air conditioner as an interim measure whilst the fixed air conditioner was being repaired. This was particularly well received as it was in the middle of the recent Lyon heatwave (35C plus everyday for several days) that would have otherwise made the apartment borederline unbearable. It has to be said that the French, and Europeans in general don't really understand the concept of air conditioning all that well.
Summary: Terrific location, an apartment that'll comfortably suit a famiy of 4.

Negative: Air conditioning didn’t work in living room, large portable device requires an open window which let in mosquitos and cooking smells from apartments/restaurants below, it was also very noisy. Fan in master bedroom didn’t work. Required more bed pillows. Old tea sachets for refreshment and no tea towels in kitchen.

Positive: Excellent location, well equipped kitchen, and a decent sitting area. The lift, although small, was well appreciated! It really couldn't be in a better location, close to everything, and easy Metro access to places beyond.
Negative: The A/C is a slimline in the living room, so bedroom doors would have to be open for decent air circulation. There was only a fan in one bedroom, not sure if that was intended, but each bedroom should have a fan to aid in air circulation. While the key pick-up was well instructed and easy, as others have mentioned, it is a 5-minute walk to pick it up, kind of a hassle when you have luggage to deal with on your first day in town. I suggest if you're not alone, have the others park themselves with the luggage around the corner at one of the many bistros, while you attend to the keys.
Summary: Location, location, location! We really enjoyed our time in Lyon and this apartment was part of that

Negative: It wasn’t very clean. The oven was dirty & the kitchen needed a proper wipe down. The apartment was very dusty too.
